At Paxman’s to pick up a New Double French Horn

Last week I injured my left index finger during the DofE Bronze expedition. I decided to continue with the exam, although I had difficulties in practising. I passed Grade 4 which was a huge achievement for me considering my left index finger is vital for playing the French Horn.

This weekend, I went with my Dad to Paxman’s in central London, to swap my French Horn with a brand new Double French Horn. Before, I had a French Horn in the key of F whereas now I have a Double Horn that can switch between F and B flat.

I’m looking forward to achieving higher grades and participating in the orchestra’s at school. In September I’m going to start having lessons with a specialist in French Horn.
